Mr.Gan is regarded as a slightly stupid man in others'mind,but I think that he is  a real kind-hearted
one who also take care of others.
He has his own perseverance, keeping on running without any reasons. Whatever the differculties he
has faced,he all do his best to
overcome them. What's more ,he loves a girl and his mother very much.In my opinion , I think the
girl who always help Gan before is
also the turning point of Mr.Gan's life.Mr.Gan do a lot of things for the girl.In order to looking for
her ,Gan even gave up his conpany.
In my mind,Mr.Gan also is a friendly man.When he is in the army，he never go against others'minds.
And he does his best to help
others.

There is another character Captain Dan. Dan lost his legs in Vietnarm War. He said that his fate is
death in war. However,
Mr. Gan saved him and let him be alive. After losing legs, Dan was decadent and disgusted with
life, complaining that  Gan shouldn't
save him. When he adjusted his mind, living on fishing with Gan, he started to enjoy the wonderful
life and thank Gan's help.

The movie is intended to tell us that life is wonderful by this character. Rainbow is always after cloud.
The key point is that whether
we have a good mind and an opportunity to ourselves to change bad situation. The movie is also sent
such a message to us: do well what we should do, and life will return us well.
